FAQs
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a ticket?
It depends on which part of the festival you’d like to attend!
Our Main Stage experience located in front of SkyBar at The Edge is a ticketed event featuring enhanced concert production, headlining performances, and premium sound and lighting. Our exclusive VIP experiences at The Alice will also be a ticketed event!
However, All of our side stages throughout the Destin Harbor are completely free to attend all weekend long, including live songwriter rounds and intimate acoustic performances at participating venues.
What is the difference between GA & VIP tickets?
General Admission (GA)
GA tickets provide access to the Main Stage concert area. Seating is first come, first serve, and attendees are encouraged to BYOS — Bring Your Own Seat! Folding camping chairs are highly recommended so guests can comfortably relax and enjoy the performances throughout the day and evening.

Our VIP experience is designed for guests who want the ultimate songwriter experience. Sunday Night VIP Experience at The Alice will feature headliners and “Next of Nashville” artists in a beautiful, intimate setting available only to VIP ticket holders.
VIP guests are free to come and go from the Main Stage area throughout the duration of the festival.
Are food & drinks available?
Absolutely! Festival guests will have access to incredible food and beverage options throughout the weekend.
The Main Stage area will primarily be for music only, but the surrounding area will feature food vendors, bars, and premium cocktails available for purchase. In addition, all participating harbor venues and restaurants will be serving food and drinks during performances.
Please note: outside food, beverages, and coolers will not be permitted inside the Main Stage ticketed area.
Are the side stages family friendly?
Most of our side stages are family friendly and open to all ages. However, SkyBar at The Edge is a 21+ venue.

Is this event pet friendly?
While we love animals as much as you do, pets will not be permitted inside the Main Stage ticketed area. Policies for side stage venues may vary by location.
Service animals are always welcome.
What is a songwriter round?
A songwriter round is a unique Nashville-style performance where multiple songwriters take turns sharing songs and the stories behind them in an intimate setting. It’s a chance to hear the inspiration behind the music, experience raw acoustic performances, and discover incredible artists up close.
Many of the songwriters performing at the festival have written songs for major artists you hear on the radio every day.
Where is the festival located?
The Destin Songwriter Festival takes place throughout Destin Harbor, featuring multiple stages and venues along the waterfront, including the Main Stage area in front of SkyBar at The Edge.
Will there be parking available?
Yes! Public parking and paid parking options are available throughout the Destin Harbor area. We highly encourage guests to arrive early, use rideshare services when possible, and plan ahead during peak festival hours.
What should I bring?
We recommend bringing:
Folding camping chairs for Main Stage seating
Sunscreen & sunglasses
Comfortable shoes
A valid ID for 21+ venues
Your festival tickets (digital or printed)
Most importantly, bring your love for live music and great energy!
Will performances happen rain or shine?
Yes. The festival is planned as a rain or shine event unless severe weather conditions create unsafe circumstances. Any major schedule updates will be announced through official festival communication channels and social media pages.
Can I meet the songwriters?
One of the best parts of the Destin Songwriter Festival is the personal connection between artists and fans. Many of our venues provide intimate settings where guests can interact with performers, hear the stories behind the songs, and enjoy a more personal live music experience than a traditional concert.
